Asset-Backed Finance Portfolio Associate

The Asset-Backed Finance Portfolio Associate provides critical portfolio management and reporting support to the Fund Finance origination activity. Primary responsibility includes ongoing portfolio management of the Fund Finance portfolio, with an emphasis on facility- and portfolio-level credit monitoring & execution, reporting and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

+ Helps build and maintain a portfolio management framework that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

+ Ability to drive special projects as needed.

+ Supports deal teams in collateral analysis and tracking compliance of financial and other reporting covenants.

+ Monitors financial performance and credit ratings of borrowers and limited partners.

+ Assists in the development and execution of deal- and portfolio-level reporting and analytics that creates a best-in-class business, credit and regulatory reporting to support Fund Finance’s ongoing monitoring & surveillance activities.

+ Executes quarterly portfolio monitoring reviews including preparation of deal monitors.

+ Leads the design and build of a portfolio management technology platform, and other critical technology initiatives impacting Fund Finance.

+ Coordinates with regulators and various risk and control disciplines to ensure Fund Finance maintains a strong risk and control framework.

+ Establishes best practices and operational efficiencies, driving accountability across the team and partners.

+ Creates and maintains policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

+ 3 years of experience in Asset-Backed Finance, Fund Finance, private equity or a related role within a financial institution

+ Familiarity with private equity or alternative investment fund structures and performance metrics

+ Ability to extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources for accurate and timely reporting

+ Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools; experience with Python or Alteryx is a plus

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Math
