    As the Diagnostic Solutions, Discovery Consultant you will have the opportunity to work with customers to assess their operations with the goal of finding innovative opportunities for cost savings and efficiency opportunities across a customer’s lab network and its value stream. You are comfortable at the VP level and above using the right tools to not only assess the value stream business but work alongside the delivery team to implementing and deliver on cost savings and other performance guarantees as part of customer agreements. Your goal will be to optimize customer organizational performance by enhancing the alignment and efficiency of business processes and by ensuring continuous, sustained improvement across the enterprise through the implementation of Danaher Business System like tools and methodologies.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    + Work alongside the Performance Partnership (PP) Principal and PP analyst to assess gaps in customers’ current operations and make recommendations to the PP Principal.

    + Diagnose workflow impediments and provide expert counsel on appropriate advanced strategies employing DBS Tools to eliminate waste.

    + Collect of current state data points in order to develop proof points & marketing material to promote the success of the program.

    + Define linkages between strategic objectives and process improvements, using both analytical tools and consulting techniques.

    + Help customers re-engineer new or existing operations to create continuous improvement strategy. Work with PP Principal to create a roadmap for deployment of strategy through tactical planning and execution.

    + Collaborate in the development of Beckman’s new internal DBS assessment tool and frontend offering.

    + A major contributor to executive VIP presentations with executive clients, alongside the PP Principal and Solutions Executive and Health Systems Executives.

    + Lead development of customer Statement of Work (SOW) documents with the PP Principal. Attend meetings with the PP Principal and hospital executives. Advises business groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, frameworks, integration and resource application. Provide support in developing functional and technical specifications.

    + Provides direction and transition of contracts and relationships to the Enterprise Delivery team (post-sale).

    + Builds strong relationships with existing clients and new potential clients.

    + Identify product development initiatives to meet future client needs.

    + Assist with mentoring and development of new Performance Partnership Consultants on the Discovery Team and Regional Consultants

    + Consult with and mentor high level Sales Leadership to drive the correct logic to ensure appropriate identification for high value customers in support of current risk sharing business model.

    + Work with internal cross functional teams, such as the Process Improvement team to diagnose workflow impediments and provide expert counsel on applicable Lean tools to eliminate waste.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

    + Minimum Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of direct experience in laboratory, point of care coordination, nursing, or respiratory therapy in a hospital setting AND 10+ years track record of commercial experience with proven success in continuous improvement, sales or consulting.

    + Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or evidence of pathway to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (i.e. courses in progress).

    + Ability to consult across large complex business systems and value streams regarding improvement plans focused on cost reduction and cost avoidance Key Performance Indicators at the C-Suite level. Expertise in organizational development, executive leadership and mentoring required.

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills required and polished demeanor with strong executive presence. Experience with development of corporate level training, communication and mentorship modules required.

    + Willingness to travel 75% with the potential for future international travel.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

    + MBA and consultancy experience or, a Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Health Care Management, Business or Industrial Engineering.

    + Background or knowledge of hospital finance.

    + Background in project management.

    + Advanced skills in communications, training / adult learning, consulting / influencing; teamwork across disciplines, regions, and cultures

    + Confirmed proficiency in time management and action plan execution.

    The salary range for this role is $165,000 - $185,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

     

    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
