    The Real Estate Financial Specialist is responsible for:

    + Assumes a leadership role within BSO Finance and will be responsible for all the accounting and financial reporting activities of BayCare's real estate portfolio, and in doing so will utilize functional resources from other Finance areas and the Real Estate group.

    + Report directly to the Manager Finance Accounting and Reporting (FAR), will oversee activities performed by a Financial Analyst II Team Member, and will work closely with BayCare's Real Estate and Facilities Teams.

    + Prepares monthly real estate financial statements and analysis.

    + Reviews transactions prior to posting to the General Ledger.

    + Develops and tracks specific Real Estate financial and operating metrics.

    + Develops and monitors Real Estate internal controls over financial reporting.

    + Develops final billing amounts on various types of leasing agreements.

    + Prepares monthly budgets by building.

    + Monitors tenant receivables and pursues collections as needed.

    + Assists with annual capital planning process for BayCare's real estate portfolio.

    + Oversees activities performed by Financial Analyst II Team Member.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with all levels including senior leadership and tenants.

    + Able to drive discussion with executives and have back and forth conversations to ensure clarity of direction.

    + Must be comfortable using different technologies/tools for monthly accounting and reporting activities.

    + Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be detail oriented and flexible with changing priorities and deadlines.

    + Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams.

    + Quick thinker that is flexible and responsive to rapidly evolving directions and priorities.

    + Must be proficient using Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    + Takes ownership for results.

    + Displays a positive attitude and ability and willingness to share knowledge, and act as a mentor.

    + Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Experience with Real Estate accounting, financial reporting and forecasting required.

    + Required experience may include Bachelor's in Accounting with at least 8 years of Real Estate Accounting and Financial Analysis; or Bachelor's in Accounting with CPA and 6 years of Real Estate Accounting and Financial Analysis.

    + CPA is Preferred.

    + Must understand real estate terminology.

    + Must have a high level understanding of EDW functions.

    + Must possess industry knowledge appropriate to position.
