Seeking a Machinist for a leading technology company in Chelmsford, MA. This is an exciting contract opportunity with potential for long-term employment. If you have a keen eye for detail and have an interest in working with machining processes, this is a great opportunity to grow in a hands-on role. In this role, you’ll play a key part in operating machines to produce cutting-edge products and systems.
Job Details:
• Location: Chelmsford, MA
• Shift: Day shift, Full-Time (M-TH) 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, with possibility for Overtime
• PPE Required: Steel Toes
What You’ll Do:
• Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products following work instruction and drawings.
• Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly process/work instructions and work instruction processes.
• Select and install cutting tools, adjust machine settings, and monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Sets up and operates any type of precision machine tool to make original parts, tools, mechanisms.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Maintain accurate data entry related to production processes.
• Collaborate with teams members to improve throughput and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
• Basic computer skills required, including ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation.
• Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations.
• Familiarity with CAD and CAM software, with entry level knowledge of programming from engineering models.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of ESD procedures and machine equipment.
• Strong work ethic and a reputation for punctuality and reliability, with a desire to grow and learn in their role.
• High school diploma or GED required.
