Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer to join one of our top financial clients. They will be working closely with two teams: one focused on building the platform and the other on language engineering. The role involves extensive Python development, with occasional use of Java for scaling purposes. The engineer will engage in language engineering tasks, deciphering and mapping various languages, and utilizing tools like Antler for open system languages. They candidate should be comfortable as a system programmer instead of as opposed to an application programmer. In order for a candidate to succeed in this role they will need 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.

Strong background in language engineering.

Proficiency in Python as the primary language, with Java used for scaling.

Experience with system programming specifically.

Ability to decipher and map changing languages.

Excellent communication skills. Plusses:

Master's degree in Computer Science; PhD preferred.

Familiarity with Cognos and Oracle Mantas AML suite. null
