    Research Scientist IV

    **Location:** Redmond, WA - onsite

    **Duration:** 12+ Months on W2

    **Pay Range:** $70 - $75/hour

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Analyze data derived from 3D scanned geometry and human factors data to produce meaningful insights that drive product design.

    + Perform exploratory data analysis, identify issues in the data, and generate and test hypotheses to interpret the results of product experiments.

    + Plan and execute statistical analyses for large datasets, focusing on wearability and fitment.

    + Develop reusable analysis code in Python, R, or similar languages.

    + Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate research questions into analysis tools and results.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Human Factors, or a related field.

     

    2+ years of experience in conducting research and statistical analysis for novel products.

     

    Experience in 3D geometry analysis, human data, and user studies.

     

    Experience with Python and/or R

     

    Demonstrated ability to perform multivariate analysis (e.g., PCA on meshes, hierarchical regression modeling, machine learning) with a strong emphasis on deriving data insights from large datasets, identifying trends, and clearly presenting findings

    Preferred Qualifications:

    PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields.

     

    5+ years of experience in applied research and/or product development related to 3D geometry analysis, particularly in wearable design.

     

    Prior experience with computer vision, motion capture data analysis, 3D geometry (mesh processing, statistical shape modeling), CAD, and/or FEA

     

    Experience with Machine Learning models, deep learning frameworks, including PyTorch, and their application in 3D geometry analysis

     

    Experience with emerging technologies in AR/VR/MR or wearable technology.
