Our client, a major manufacturer in agricultural and construction equipment, is seeking a Corporate Safety Specialist to join their team. As a Safety Specialist you will be part of the EHS department supporting sites. This person will need to sit onsite at either Racine, WI or Oak Brook, IL.
Job Title: Safety Specialist
Pay Range: $70K-$92K/Yearly + 5% Bonus
What’s the Job?
+ Designs, develops, implements, and oversees Environmental, Health, Safety, and Energy (EHS&E) programs and procedures to safeguard employees and ensure that all facilities are following regulations.
+ Develops recommendations to prevent accident recurrence, promotes safety conscious work performance, and training programs applicable to each location.
+ Assists locations in pollution prevention and waste minimization programs through monitoring and technical guidance.
+ Partners with Site HR to manage incidents and accidents and preventative actions.
+ Must be onsite and able to travel up to 25% to other local sites (within a 1.5 hour commute)
What’s Needed?
+ Bachelor's degree or Associate's Degree plus 2 or more years of EHS/Safety experience
+ EHS experience within a manufacturing setting OR corporate manufacturing setting
+ Travel to other locations in the region is approximately 25%
+ Ability to take initiative with little to no direction
+ Implementing safety initiatives
