    Our client, a leader in the transportation industry, is seeking a Materials Management Planner to join their team. As a Materials Management Planner, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department supporting operational efficiency. Applicants who have experience in planning for replenishment of automotive parts, consumable items and safety supplies are preferred. The ideal candidate will also have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Materials Management Planner

    **Location:** Santa Ana, CA

    **Pay Range:** $43.34 - $51.66

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Oversee the replenishment of consumable items, shop supplies, safety supplies, floor stock, and chemical products to ensure uninterrupted operations.

    + Work closely with Maintenance Resource Management to establish and maintain Bills of Materials for standard jobs.

    + Monitor back-ordered items and expedite bus-down and priority shortages while preparing management and planning reports.

    + Manage supplier contracts and develop data-driven algorithms to project and plan for consumables and safety supplies.

    + Develop continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer service.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, or related field and a minimum of five years of materials management and supply chain experience.

    + Must have experience in planning for replenishment of automotive parts, consumable items and safety supplies

    + Experience with inventory management systems, such as Ellipse or similar platforms.

    + Familiarity with automotive and bus parts categories, as well as maintenance requirements.

    + Understanding of procurement regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.

    + Proficiency in Excel and Word to review performance metrics, track fill rates, analyze stock turnover, and assess inventory trends.
