    Position Overview

    The Senior Controller oversees core accounting functions and supports the financial management of both operations and development. The role reports to the VP of Accounting and manages a team of 3–4. Responsibilities include financial reporting, construction accounting, and system optimization.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger

    + Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

    + Support lease-up efforts and asset performance analysis

    + Oversee accounting for REIT partnerships and triple-net lease structures

    + Partner with construction and general contractor teams on budgeting and cost tracking

    + Manage financial onboarding of new communities

    + Lead implementation and optimization of Sage Intacct and related systems

    + Provide financial reporting and insights to executive leadership

    + Supervise a team including a Controller, payroll, AP/AR, and general accounting staff

    Qualifications

    + CPA required

    + 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or real estate development

    + Prior experience managing accounting teams

    + Proficiency with Sage Intacct or similar ERP platforms

    + Experience with REIT structures, construction accounting, and triple-net leases

    + Ability to operate in a growth-focused environment with multiple concurrent projects
