    What we want

     

    Works under general supervision and provides advanced administrative support work. Assists management in coordinating office support activities, including a bilingual hotline. Will also be responsible for assisting with the Learning Management System, which includes approving online accounts, helping educators throughout a course, and answering emails.

    Salary : Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience

    + High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience

    + Three years of experience in general office or clerical work

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service and multi-line phone handling

    + Bilingual in English/Spanish

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

    + Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing

    + Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff

    + Excellent communication skills

    + Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

    + Ability to orally comprehend and express information and use inductive and deductive reasoning

    + Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff, and groups of various sizes

    + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

    Responsibilities

    General Administrative Support

    + General office duties include answering phone calls, taking messages, printing, and scanning

    + Serving as a first point of contact for local phones and Literacy Hotline calls in both English & Spanish, including literacy program referral and high school equivalency testing questions in support of a sponsored research program

    + Sorts and distributes incoming mail

    + Assist in keeping gathering areas neat

    + Assists with ordering and storing office supplies

    Support Service to LMS System

    + Provide technical assistance and customer service to the LMS Administrator for the Professional Development Training Portal

    + Answer any portal questions through phone or email

    + Assist with the shared PD Portal email account

    + Provide technical assistance to online portal users

    Updating Directory

    + Reaching out to programs within our online directory for updates

    + Recording responses and routing to appropriate staff members
