    What we want

     

    We have a career opportunity for a Program Manager who will work under the direction of the Associate Dean, to plan, organize, direct, and manage day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the Haynes Teacher Corps (HTC) program. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the initial and future planning of activities.

     

    The HTC is an enhanced curricular and co-curricular program designed to foster the development of undergraduate education students into exemplary "teacher-citizen leaders." The program will deeply embed the principles of citizenship, service, and the Aggie Core Values: Respect, Excellence, Leadership, Loyalty, Integrity, and Selfless Service. By incorporating a challenging and fulfilling Honors program, leadership development, skill development, and professional learning opportunities, the program aligns with the Texas A&M Citizenship and Service Framework and aims to fulfill the vision of developing "Aggies of character for the greater good."     Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience

     

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

    + Five years of related experience

    Preferred Experience:

    + Previous TAMU experience

    •Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

    ResponsibilitiesProgram Management and Administration

    + Plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities for the program.

    + Develops and implements procedures for the administration of the program.

    + Assists in developing strategic plans and goals to support the program.

    + Assists with the development and production of materials designed for the program.

    + Collaborates closely with faculty, staff, community stakeholders, and students to implement the program.

    + Researches, develops, and writes white papers, grant applications, and prepares presentations.

    Staff Supervision and Development

    + Supervises program support staff and student assistants.

    + Develops and conducts programs including leadership training, conferences, seminars, and workshops.

    Financial Support

    + Coordinates with CEHD Office of Business Services related to unit budgeting and financial needs of the HTC Program .

    Communication and Collaboration

    + Maintains and develops communications between partners by attending meetings and conference calls.
