    Position Summary:

    A Lee’s Marketplace Human Resources Support Specialist (HRSS **)** is responsible for fostering a positive store culture and service by training, guiding, and setting an example through the company’s core values at two of our store locations- Herriman and Vineyard. They are accountable for all new hire and existing team member onboarding, training, and benefits. The HRSS will coordinate and follow up on department-specific training and certifications, leading culture and service behavior. The HRSS will travel between both stores to ensure all HR needs are met, supporting each location’s unique requirements and maintaining consistency in training and HR practices. They will work closely with and build strong, functional relationships with all store department managers and team members. Additionally, the HRSS will assist on the sales floor in any capacity necessary during major events, holidays, and occasional weekends as required by either store, which can include working in any and all departments

    Primary Position Duties:

    _All responsibilities listed apply to both our Herriman and Vineyard locations, as this is a dual store role_

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Manages, oversees, and trains on all aspects of onboarding for both the Herriman and Vineyard locations including: job posting, recruitment, application review, interviewing, onboarding administration, new hire orientation, general store certifications and policies, store culture, service and behavioral training and initial coordinator between new hire and department manager.

    + Assists team members with questions about benefits (health, dental, vision, and life insurance, health savings accounts (HSA), Flex Spending Accounts,), Wellness programs, 401k, employee assistance program (EAP) and team rewards.

    + Member of Lee’s MarketPlace Safety Committee working to Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.

    + Works with Corporate Office Human Resources (HR) to oversee, manage and communicate all store team member status changes including: Family Medical Leave (FMLA), Voluntary Leave, tracking hours (Full Time, Part Time, Casual), separations and transfers.

    + Will facilitate employee training on applicable safety standards and conduct safety inspections and audits.

    + Required to handle multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail and confidentiality.

    + Will be required to attain all state and regulatory certifications to properly train store team

    + Works on special projects and performs other duties as assigned or requested.

    + Other responsibilities as needed.

    Guest Service:

    + Greet and assist guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

    + Model exceptional guest service to new hires by demonstrating professional, friendly, and helpful interactions during the onboarding process.

    + Emphasize the importance of guest service as a core company value during orientation and training sessions.

    + Communicate company guest service policies clearly during onboarding, including procedures for handling complaints or escalations

    + Observe and coach new hires on guest service techniques in real-time, offering feedback and reinforcement.

    + Provide knowledgeable answers to guest and applicant inquiries.

    + Address customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner, resolving issues promptly.

    + Promote and exemplify a high level of morale within the store, utilizing friendly but professional methods of honest and open communication with guests and team members.

    + Provides excellent guest service by acknowledging guests and team members promptly and resolving matters accurately.

    + Displays excellent problems solving skills and prides themselves on finding the best resolution that exemplifies the “Lee’s Way- doing what’s best for our guests, our team, and our company”.

    + Be familiar with, and assist customers with use of, Lee’s Marketplace website.

    Community Engagement:

    + Foster relationships with local vendors and community organizations to enhance store presence and customer loyalty.

    + Design and participate in community events and promotions.

    Product Handling:

    + Educate new hires on proper product handling procedures, including safe lifting techniques and the importance of minimizing product damage.

    + Demonstrate correct stocking, rotation, and facing practices to maintain product quality and presentation.

    + Stock shelves and maintain displays according to store standards when needed.

    + Ensure product freshness by watching for, and teaching team members to watch for, quality in production, rotating stock and checking expiration dates.

    + Assisting in any capacity in any department as directed by the Store Director.

    Cleanliness and Safety:

    + Member of Lee’s MarketPlace Safety Committee working to Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.

    + Conduct safety walks to ensure compliance with company policies and maintain a safe working environment

    + Ensure understanding of food safety guidelines.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Maintains the confidentiality and security of sensitive documents, information, and operational processes at all times.

    + The HRSS will be required to use their personal vehicle to travel safely between stores, adhering to all state laws and regulations to ensure safety. The team member will accurately and honestly report their mileage for reimbursement, following the proper reporting procedures according to company processes

    + Follow and implement all safety and sanitation procedures.

    + Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to management.

    + Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including maintain a valid food handlers permit.

    + Maintains full knowledge of all company safety and accident prevention policies. Ensure safety of all team members through proper training and follow-up of safety policies. Responsible for accident reporting for team members as well as guest accidents in a timely manner

    Cash Handling:

    + Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.

    + Follow store policies on returns, exchanges, and refunds.

    + Ensure the security of cash and other financial transactions.

    Team Collaboration:

    + Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with team members to achieve store goals.

    + Encourage all team members to reach the highest level of teamwork and guest service at all times.

    + Communicate and support the Lee’s MarketPlace Mission statement and Core Values.

    + Works to instill the service culture, core values and standards within all team members.

    + Works with department managers and team members to ensure completion of all training and certification requirements within the outlined time frames.

    + Work closely with the Store Director and other department managers to ensure cohesive store operations.

    + Evaluate the entire store continually and make recommendations for changes to Department Managers regarding safety and presentation.

    + Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

    + Assist other departments as needed.

    + Work in a fast-paced, sometimes crowded, sales environment with tact and patience.

    + Attends departmental, store and company meetings as required.

    + Has knowledge of, teaches, and complies with all company policies, procedures, programs, and directives. Refers to Team Member Handbook continually to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Promotes a harassment-free environment, and immediately reports any potential harmful situation to management.

    + Maintain good order and productivity through appropriate coaching and proper documentation of these procedures. Maintain consistency with coaching procedures among team members.

    + Ensure that Team Member evaluations are done in a timely manner, and follow company policies and procedures for raises and promotions.

    + Be a professional example for all team members to follow.

    Position Requirements:

    + Age Requirement: 21yrs+ Availability: Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

    + High school diploma or equivalent (Required).

    + 2+ years of previous experience in retail Management (Required)

    + Previous leadership experience (Required).

    Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to stand, walk, twist, sit, and bend for extended periods.

    + Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

    + Manual dexterity for handling small objects and operating equipment.

    + Repetitive use of hands and arms to push, pull, carry, lift, reach, grip, and balance.

    + Occasionally stoop, crouch, kneel, or crawl.

    + Prolonged periods standing, sitting, and walking.

    + Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the store.

    + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

    + Lifting may include floor to shoulder and overhead lifting repeatedly.

    + Occasional use and climbing of step stools or ladders are required.

    Tools and Machinery:

    + Laptop or Desk top computer
