    We are embarking on a game-changing pursuit to break down silos to connect the dots and understand the entire healthcare relationship. We are moving our Master Data Management solution to the cloud and need your expertise to deliver an enterprise platform for the future. We are building a real-time capability that will connect to an array of Humana applications that drive the business. This multi-year pursuit will build a single source of truth and rely on an AWS backbone that will revolutionize the way our data is stored and presented within Humana.

     

    The Senior Cloud Services Engineer will design, develop, and maintain multiple highly scalable backend services leveraging cloud resources and Pub/Sub solutions (ie AWS SQS/SNS/MSK, Azure, Kafka), supporting high-volume API calls for Inbound and Outbound traffic. The engineer utilizes software that manages and monitors networks, systems, and applications not only to guarantee performance to cloud software environments but also to better orchestrate and automate the provisioning of resources. The Engineer is expected to code software applications based on business requirements to function in cloud environments. The Engineer will standardize the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. As a senior developer, it would be expected for the resource to impart guidance and knowledge to junior resources. Begins to influence the department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in similar role (5+ years)

    + 5 or more years of technical experience

    + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

    + 3 years working with Python/Pyspark

    + Working knowledge of Java/.NET, or other coding experience

    + Minimum of 2 years active working experience with Databricks and/or ADF

    + Proven ability in helping to manage a team

    Pay Range

     

    The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

     

    $106,900 - $147,000 per year

     

    This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
