Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent in related field and two years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with various small-sized to medium-sized area networks (i.e., LAN's, WAN's).

Job Summary:

To provide hardware/software support and the technical skills required to administer, design, modify and maintain a network configuration at the department/school level.

Job Duties:

+ Analyzes, designs, and administers or assists in the performance of network connections/configurations at the school/department level.

+ Manages the performance of four to five software packages from fairly simple to complexlevels of sophistication.

+ Provides training and support of these packages to staff, faculty and management.

+ Provides programming skills of basic to moderate complexity, utilizing establishedlanguages.

+ Consults with vendors, faculty, staff, and management concerning projectedenhancements to hardware/software and networking capabilities.

+ Oversees or assists in the physical set-up of communication connections.

+ Performs basic to moderately complex problem determination of reports and resolution,identifying problems at the school/department level.

+ Assists management/supervisor with the development of reports and procedures tooptimize the benefits of network capabilities.

+ Provides staff, faculty and management with training and assistance in the utilization ofvarious software products (i.e., spreadsheets, data bases, word processing, andstatistical packages.)

+ Adheres to internal controls established for department.

+ Performs related duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

+ Programming of Cisco network equipment.

Salary Range:

Actual salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:

On-site, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and as needed on occasion.
