    Our client, in Sacramento is seeking a Sales Counter Representative to join their team. As a Sales Counter Representative, you will be part of the welding supply business, supporting the store front with providing exceptional service to clients by assisting with product selection, processing orders, and maintaining inventory in fast paced sales counter environment. This position primarily focuses on the welding industry, so knowledge of welding supplies is a must.

     

    Job Title: Welding Sales Counter Rep

     

    Pay: $20 an hour

     

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm

     

    What’s the Job?

     

    • Greet and assist walk-in customers in the store, providing expert advice and solutions for welding and industrial products.

    • Accurately process sales transactions, including taking orders and handling payment.

    • Recommend and upsell products based on customer needs and industry standards.

    • Provide technical support and product knowledge regarding welding materials, safety equipment, tools, and machinery.

    • Maintain product inventory levels, ensuring that popular items are stocked and properly displayed.

    • Process and track special orders and follow up with customers on order status.

    • Prepare quotes for customers and ensure timely follow-up.

    • Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely product delivery and order fulfillment.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster repeat business.

    • Assist with pricing, cataloging, and ordering of new products.

    • Stay current on industry trends, new products, and advancements in welding technology.

     

    What’s Needed?

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred).

    • Previous experience in industrial sales, customer service, or counter sales, with a focus on welding industries.

    • Strong knowledge of welding supplies, equipment, and materials (e.g., welding rods, electrodes, protective gear, welding machines).

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Proficient with sales and inventory management software.

    • Positive, customer-oriented attitude.

    • Ability to lift and move products (up to 50 lbs.)
