Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead Maintenance Engineer perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make on site repairs when needed. Come join our team of dedicated professionals that is committed to delivering the best patient care.

What you will do in this role:

+ Under the direct supervision of the Director Facilities and guidelines set by policy and procedure operates and maintains buildings, equipment, and systems throughout the facility.

+ Performs operating, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance tasks to equipment including but not limited to: Boilers, water chillers, electrical distribution systems, emergency power generators, HVAC, pumping systems, electrical motors and motor control, plumbing, refrigeration, water treatment, Fire Alarm and suppression, Pneumatic\ electronic control systems, energy management systems, and all other systems under the responsibility of the plant operations department.

+ The Lead Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for the completion of project work including new equipment installation, existing equipment relocation or modification, and minor construction and renovation work. Works closely with the Director of Facilities.

+ Coordinates and monitors work order assignments and completion work orders assigned to the engineers.

+ Purchases materials and supplies in order for workers to do their jobs in a timely manner.

+ Insures all mechanical, shops, and parts rooms are clean and organized at all times.

+ Makes suggestions to the director for energy savings and other improvements in policies and or procedures.

+ Assists in snow removal as needed.

+ Provide assistance with furniture and other types of office moves as directed.

+ Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Technical school courses in related fields preferred.

+ CFC Certification preferred. Class "A" Operating Engineers License Highly Preferred. Requires current driver’s license and maintain satisfactory MVR to drive company vehicle.

+ Annually satisfactorily complete driver/safety training.

+ Security Certificate of Registration.

+ A minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance or maintenance management, preferably in a health care environment. Experience using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing and metering equipment required.
