Job Summary and Qualifications

The Imaging Director is responsible for integrating their department’s services with the hospitals primary functions.

The Imaging Director coordinates and integrates services within their department(s) and with other departments.

The Imaging Director develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.

The Imaging Director participates in the selection and hiring of staff and recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/service and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members (who are not licensed independent practitioners) meet the needs of patient care and non-patient care services.

The Imaging Director provides orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department(s).

The Imaging Director continuously assesses and improves their department’s performance and maintains appropriate quality control programs.

The Imaging Director recommends space and other resources needed by the department and participates in selecting outside resources needed by their department(s).

The Imaging Director will ensure appropriate accreditation standards and processes and maintain accreditations as appropriate.

Imaging Director will ensure appropriate Medical Directorship oversight and involvement. Will participate in Hospital growth plan.

What qualifications you will need:

Education: Graduate of Radiology Program. Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Administration, Health/Hospital Administration or related preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: Current licensure/registry/certification in good standing with at least one of the following credentialing agencies:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

American Registry of Medical Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS)

Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification

CT Tech ARRT with RT(R)(CT) CT

MRI Tech

Experience: 1 years of clinical experience required. 2 years of management experience preferred
