Position: Professional Lab Assistant for Dental Assisting
Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety
Reports to: Program Chair for Dental Programs & Divisional Academic Dean
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities:
+ Maintain familiarity with college goals, mission, and long-term plans.
+ Contribute to planning and development processes.
+ Participate in recruitment and retention of students in both programs.
+ Attend required staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
+ Evaluate dental assisting curriculum and educational activities.
+ Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
+ Regularly evaluate student achievement and provide student feedback.
+ Assist clinical coordinator with clinic supply; tracking and stocking.
+ Supervise and instruct dental assisting students during clinic.
+ Has full and complete access to patient medical/dental records where HIPAA policy and procedures are required to safeguard the patient, facility, and/or employee.
+ Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in communication with students, administrators, faculty & staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Certified Dental Assistant through DANB.
+ Expanded Functions Dental Assistant through the State of Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) to three (3) years of previous work experience as CDA
