About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a skilled and reliable Senior Systems Operations Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of Unix and Linux-based systems in a 24/7 enterprise environment. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, performance, and security, while contributing to automation efforts and continuous service improvement. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, a deep understanding of Unix operating system, and the ability to work effectively in a fast -paced, collaborative environment.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
+ Contribute to increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
+ Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
+ Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
+ Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
+ Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Required Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ Experience with highly regulated Financial Technology environments
+ Strong experience with Unix/Linux systems administration (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, AIX)
+ Shell scripting proficiency (Bash, KSH, etc.)
+ File system and storage management (LVM, NFS, SAN/NAS integration)
+ Knowledge of user and access management (LDAP, sudo, PAM)
+ Patch Management and system updates
+ Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewall configurations)
+ Ability to manage high-availability systems and clustering
+ Ansible Playbook development/execution
+ Ticketing system experience (Queue/Ticket Management, Reporting, Dashboarding) in ServiceNow and Jira
+ PowerBI Dashboard creation
+ Strong documentation and communication skills
+ Collaboration with cross-function teams (network, storage, app teams)
+ Superior customer service skills

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$35.14 - $62.45
