About the Role:
As a Sr Accountant, you will be responsible for monitoring key accounting and reporting activities of the organization’s BOE Segment in the Americas Region. You will help to support the monthly close process by providing timely analysis to Finance partners and leadership on medium to complex accounting activities. The ideal candidate must be solution-oriented and have a passion for learning.
This job is part of the General Accounting job function. They are responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
+ Answer escalated questions regarding various accounting issues and reports.
+ Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and various other accounting statements or financial reports.
+ Review the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
+ Evaluate various complex accounting variances, reports, and records. Make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
+ Maintain, record, and reconcile billings and accounts receivables for large clients, markets, or accounts.
+ Create month-end accounting entries. Reconcile discrepancies and posts to the general ledger.
+ Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Check transactions from the subsystem to ensure data is accurately sent.
+ Examine financial statements and documents for conformance with accounting requirements and fundamentals.
+ Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
+ May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
+ Have a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
+ Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus.

+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ CPA or MBA (graduate degree) preferred.
+ Public accounting with a focus on audit, internal/SOX audit or relevant experience a plus.
+ In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
+ The ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
+ Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Excellent organizational skills with a master- level inquisitive mindset.
+ Exceptional math skills. Ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
