The Core Shopping group is seeking a talented and experienced Technical Program Manager for the Purchase Experience team. Through the program, you will own re-imagining AI powered purchase experiences on Amazon shopping apps and echo family devices. In this role, you will be responsible for scoping, managing the lifecycle end to end of cross-functional technology initiatives that create customer experiences globally. You will ensure that the Engineering and Operational Excellence of all Shopping experiences on all Alexa devices. This would mean, you will get to work on cross team impact, strengthen you technical decision making muscle along with enabling to build operationally stronger products. You will tackle challenging problems and coordinate high profile projects across multiple cross-functional teams. You will have the freedom to experiment, improve and invent on behalf of our customers. You will play a pivotal role in unblocking innovation and increasing speed of delivery. You are one who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, and proactively deals with ambiguity or competing priorities. Key job responsibilities

1. Define, scope and deliver product solutions to scale our existing and new technologies

2. Lead cross team programs cutting across 5-10+ teams that includes engineers, product and domain partners.

3. Resolve ambiguities, remove bottlenecks and balance customer needs vs technical constraints.

4. Use your software engineering and program management background to drive design and make the right technical trade-offs.

5. Drive communication and lead meetings with customers and senior leaders.

6. Own the business metrics and mechanisms to improve our products and solutions.

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 3+ years of software development experience

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
