Global Customer Fulfillment (GCF) is seeking a highly talented and motivated Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Quantitative Business Intelligence Tools (QuBIT) team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions that provide seamless data access and visibility across the Customer Fulfillment Network, from Fulfillment Center teams to corporate leadership. GCF network includes hundreds of fulfillment centers charged with completing and shipping hundreds of millions of packages to customers each year! Every package we ship out is an opportunity for improvement, translating to better prices and service to our customers.
We are looking for a passionate Business Intelligence Engineer to design, develop, and implement robust, scalable BI solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights about our operations and systems. You will work with top-notch professionals to create complex reporting and analytics solutions at scale, with a focus on sustained operational excellence. Members of this team will be challenged to innovate using the latest BI tools and techniques. We are looking for people who are motivated by thinking big, moving fast, and exploring business insights.
Key job responsibilities
Create actionable business insights through analytical and statistical rigor to answer business questions, drive business decisions, and develop recommendations to improve operations.
Own the design, development, and maintenance of datasets, ongoing metrics, analyses and dashboards to drive key business decisions. Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
Define and govern key business metrics, build automated dashboards and analytic self-service capabilities, and engineer data-driven processes that drive business value.
Use analytical solutions to identify trends, recommend opportunities to optimize impact of investments, and influence stakeholders.
Develop and effectively communicate data strategy, recommendations, and updates to stakeholders, including deep dive analyses of business problems, conclusions, and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.
Collaborate with Product Managers, software engineering, data science, and data engineering partners to design and develop analytic capabilities.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
