    Overview

     

    $7,500.00 sign on bonus.

     

    Nights.

     

    3, 12 hour shifts.

     

    Additional Administrative hours to make it a 40 hour work week.

     

    Develops, updates, and implements various policies and procedures related to the practice of respiratory care. Plans and executes special projects.

    Responsibilities

    * Ensures that quality of care provided by staff meets standards by direct observation and individual instruction. Provides direct feedback to staff, including development of improvement plans.

    * Supervises the daily operations of the department and personnel. Assigns and oversees work assignments.

    * Coordinates and provides instruction of staff, students, nurse, and medical residents in respiratory care theory and practice. Develops in-service programs in conjunction with the administrative director.

    * Participates in leadership meetings with the administrative and medical directors. Leads small group meetings and inter-shift report. Assists in conflict resolution between staff and disciplines.

    * Acts as a consultant for staff RCPs, RNs, and MDs regarding patient assessment and care plan development.

    * Participates in the development of post hospitalization discharge planning for patients with high-level respiratory care needs.

    * Utilizes competency in all specific areas of practice including adults, pediatrics, and neonatal respiratory care.

    * Evaluates and discusses new products and equipment with staff and sales representatives. Arranges for equipment in-services.

    * Keeps abreast of new developments in the field.

    * Performs other duties as required or assigned.

    Qualifications

    * 5 years of experience required.

    * Bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience preferred.

     

    Required Licensure/Certifications

     

    - Licensed Respiratory Care Practioner in NH.

     

    - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) upon hire.

     

    - ACLS upon hire.

     

    - PALS within 6 months of hire date

     

    - NRP within 6 months of hire date.
