Overview
The Behavioral Analyst is responsible for the administration and clinical oversight of the behavior treatment programs for an assigned unit or units in the Hampstead Hospital Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF). The role oversees and provides unit staff, administrative supervisor and/or unit administrative manager, and educational staff regarding clinical/behavioral programming. This position is also responsible for the evaluation of the clinical programs, provides training to direct care staff, and ensures the development and implementation of programs and strategies.
Responsibilities
* Oversees and participates in process improvement to develop and implement successful behavioral treatment programs that support the Hospital’s values and expectations. Monitors, oversees, and directs the quality and appropriateness of all documentation to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, State Licensing, and Medicare standards.
* Develops short and long-term-strategies and key initiatives to promote behavioral health programming excellence including oversight of target behaviors assessments using interviews, case histories, observational techniques, and other assessment methods.
* Data tracking to document frequency, rate and duration of behaviors reviewing, evaluating, and making recommendations for departmental and hospital-wide recognition programs.Collects and analyzes metrics, feedback, and data to track quality of documentation, duration and frequency of reviews, rate of duration and efficacy of programming, and when and how plans are adjusted. Prepares reports for use by units and hospital administration.
* Provide clinical oversight of all behavioral and educational programming and develops and provides evidence-based behavior interventions and assures completes behavior assessment.
* Audits therapeutic programming from admissions to discharge and provides training and supervision of direct care staff that implement behavior support plans; provide ongoing monitoring of all assigned cases. Develop and deliver in-service training regarding behavioral science and treatment for HHRTF staff.
* Ensures that ethical standards set by the BACB are followed and maintains all ABA certifications.
* Provides consultation to students, parents, advocates, faculty, staff and agencies in order to meet the goals and objectives of clients; develops programs or assists other professionals and administrators in developing programs to meet client diagnostic and rehabilitative needs.
Qualifications
* Master's degree from an accredited institute of higher education with major study in behavior analysis, psychology or a related field.
* Two years of experience in behavior analysis, psychology or a related field; preferrably in a management level position involving administrative or supervisory duties concerned with program administration, program planning and evaluation, business management or related management experience.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
- Complete CPI Certification (within 3 months of hire)
