Overview
The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking for an excellent candidate for surgical scheduling in our Bedford, NH office.
Responsibilities
In this role for ObGyn, our surgical team works closely with up to seventeen providers to facilitate surgical procedures for patients within multiple operating rooms across the city.
The appropriate candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively both with the surgical group and when coordinating with the greater scheduling team within our department and possess excellent communication skills. Proper understanding of office work-flows when coordinating between the office and at assigned operating rooms is of high priority. Following appropriate scheduling guidelines, completing various work queue tasks and coordinating care with ancillary services are just a few of the daily responsibilities in our fast paced office. It is our endeavor to make all patients feel confident and comfortable when scheduling surgery.
The candidate must be able to focus on multiple tasks concurrently, work with proficiency and possess a warm and welcoming attitude at all times. The ability to seek out answers and problem solve are a must. We work with a multi-faceted electronic medical record, (Epic) and pride ourselves in utilizing all of the tools this EMR offers to streamline and improve processes.
Qualifications
* High School diploma with 3 years of administrative support experience or the equivalent required.
* Proven experience working with the public required.
* Knowledge of medical terminology may be required.
* Proficiency in PC word processing, spreadsheets, and Excel, Power Point, MC Publisher software's.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
* Previous experience working in a medical setting preferred.
