    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for an Inspector Machined Parts- Level 4 for our **Palmdale** , **CA** facility.

     

    Inspects machined or partially machined parts, using predetermined methods and sequences to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications and quality requirement. Devises setups to measure the accuracy of compound angles, exacting tolerances, and numerous dimensions. Works from drawings, sketches, and specifications. Analyzes defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommends corrective action. May determine method and sequences necessary to perform inspections.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED with 6 years experience in CMM Inspection and Programming

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

    + Basic Computer Skills / Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

    + Ability to read blueprints

    + Must be able to program parts fromCad Models (Catia/ NX)and write inspection programs for CMM inspection

    + Ability to use inspection equipment such as: Romer Arm, Laser Tracker

    + Must be able to workextended / Flexiblehours and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    + Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs

    + Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Proficient inCalypso software or PC-Dmis

    + Possess a high degree of GD&T understanding

    + Verisurf, Polyworks, Catia and NX Software

     

    Salary Range: $64,600.00 - $107,600.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
