AKey Responsibilities:
+ Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide insights that support organizational goals and decision-making.
+ Assist in preparing and maintaining annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
+ Create financial models and forecasts to project future funding needs, expenses, and revenues.
+ Work within nonprofit-specific accounting structures to manage grant funding, donations, and restricted funds.
+ Prepare financial reports for management, stakeholders, donor organizations, and audit committees
+ Oversee spending and provide recommendations to ensure funds allocation is efficient and compliant.
+ Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations related to nonprofit financial practices.
+ Work closely with program managers to provide financial guidance and support on funding needs and opportunities.
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
+ Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
+ Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Blackbaud, or QuickBooks for nonprofits).
+ Proven ability to interpret complex financial data and present clear, actionable insights.
+ Familiarity with fund accounting, grant management, and donor reporting requirements.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relay financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
+ Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in preparing reports and managing budgets.
