Description

Robert Half has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Mebane, NC to assist them in hiring an experienced Cost Accounting Manager. This is an onsite position that will play a critical role in their industries operations. The position entails a strong emphasis on cost accounting and inventory management, with a responsibility to provide advanced financial analysis of business transactions. The role will also encompass leading cycle activities and conducting ad-hoc analysis for the site, alongside the implementation of actions to improve operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct extensive cost analysis to identify potential areas for cost savings and process improvements

• Analyze and reconcile product costs, Inventories, Total cost of production, and cost of sales

• Provide assistance in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cost of production statement

• Review and audit production JOBs, BOMs, material costs and labor rates

• Assist in the month-end close process, which includes the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations

• Support forecast and budgeting processes, providing analysis on variances between actual results and forecasts

• Assist internal and external auditors during financial audits and prepare audit schedules

• Create financial forecasts and models for strategic decision-making and sensitivity analysis for the site

• Safeguard Capex, depreciation, and disposals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Cost Accounting and Standard Cost Accounting.

• Demonstrated experience in Inventory Analysis and Variance Analysis.

• Skilled in Financial Reporting and Month End Close processes.

• In-depth understanding of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Bill of Materials (BOM).

• Familiarity with SAP software is a must.

• Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting is required.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, an advanced degree or certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
