Description
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join one of our construction client's team in New York, New York. In this role, you will help manage various aspects of construction projects, from start to finish, ensuring smooth operations and on-time delivery. This position offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment while contributing to high-quality construction outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion of activities.
• Coordinate material procurement and logistics with both internal teams and external vendors to meet project deadlines.
• Review and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Support change order management processes, including documentation and status updates.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of project submittals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure proper coordination and execution of project components.
• Monitor and manage daily project scope requests, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Participate in project close-out activities, ensuring all deliverables are completed and documented.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and resolve issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance with construction regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on glass industry, carpentry, millwork, or exterior façades.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, including blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD or drafting software is required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling and material coordination processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and construction regulations.
