Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin is looking for a full-time Medical Billing Specialist in Austin, TX. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted job, and requires attention to detail. Please be organized, efficient with your time, familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Word & Excel), with a professional image. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of insurance benefits, cost estimation, and payment planning. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or financial counseling (orthopaedic or surgical setting preferred) Strong understanding of healthcare insurance and medical terminology Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills Bilingual is a plus Benefits package includes: health, dental, life, long-term disability, 401(k) with company match, vacation/sick time off, and more. Schedule is Monday-Friday; no weekends. This is a fully in-office position to start with the option to work hybrid after 6 months.
