Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Paramount, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions, payroll processes, and timekeeping functions, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all records. This position requires strong analytical abilities and proficiency in accounting systems to support refinery operations effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain precise financial records and ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.

• Process invoices, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports using Vista.

• Assist with budget management, including cost tracking and variance analysis.

• Prepare documentation and statements to support internal and external audits.

• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure accurate financial tracking for projects.

• Oversee employee timekeeping, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company guidelines.

• Utilize timekeeping systems to monitor attendance and track project labor hours.

• Ensure accurate coding of payroll, overtime, and adjustments in collaboration with HR teams.

• Address and resolve discrepancies in payroll and timekeeping processes.

• Leverage software tools such as Vista and Excel for financial reporting and data analysis. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting or timekeeping, preferably in an industrial setting.

• Proficiency in Vista, Excel, and other accounting software.

• Solid understanding of payroll processing and labor tracking.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

• Familiarity with financial reconciliation and reporting processes.

• Knowledge of union labor agreements or prevailing wage regulations is a plus.
