Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Bakersfield, California. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting HR functions, including employee administration, personnel records management, and compliance with employment laws. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the success of our human resources operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.

• Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.

• Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility as part of the hiring process.

• Assist in auditing HR processes and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Promote employee health and safety by supporting related initiatives and addressing concerns.

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, addressing HR-related inquiries in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance overall HR operations and implement improvements.

Requirements • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of two years of experience in human resources or a combination of relevant education and experience.

• Proficiency with HR software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and other HRMS platforms.

• Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Positive and detail-oriented demeanor with excellent interpersonal abilities.

• Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
