Job Description: Accounting Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the financial operations of our organization. This role is within one of the most in-demand finance and accounting positions and offers opportunities to contribute to key decision-making processes that drive business success. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, an in-depth knowledge of accounting standards, and the ability to ensure compliance while improving efficiency across financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

+ Prepare, review, and present detailed financial reports, including financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to management.

+ Ensure timely and accurate reporting in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Accounting Processes:

+ Oversee month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on compliance and accuracy.

+ Ensure adherence to GAAP and consistently refine accounting policies to improve efficiency and reliability.

Analysis and Reporting:

+ Conduct variance analysis, identifying the root causes and implications for financial performance.

+ Analyze financial data to uncover trends and areas of concern while generating insightful reports to aid management decision-making.

Tax and Audits:

+ Assist in the preparation of tax returns and support compliance with tax audits.

+ Stay updated on tax regulations to ensure continued compliance.

Internal Controls:

+ Develop, maintain, and enhance internal controls to safeguard assets and guarantee the accuracy of financial records.

+ Regularly assess existing controls to implement improvements and mitigate risk.

Cash Flow Management:

+ Oversee cash flow operations, ensuring healthy cash management practices and timely payments.

+ Provide insights into cash flow analysis and trends, optimizing liquidity for business needs.

Compliance:

+ Ensure adherence to accounting standards, FAR requirements, and company policies.

+ Collaborate across departments to maintain regulatory and corporate compliance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

+ Strong excel skills; ability to manipulate data into a presentable format.

+ Proven experience in financial reporting, leadership in accounting processes, and familiarity with compliance requirements.

+ Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial data for stakeholders.

+ Proficiency in accounting software and knowledge of advanced Excel functions.
