Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Claims Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing insurance claims, ensuring accuracy, and handling follow-ups to resolve denials.

Responsibilities:

• Submit insurance claims for patients following their medical treatments using an online billing platform.

• Investigate and resolve denied claims by communicating with insurance providers and patients.

• Ensure all claims are accurate, complete, and submitted within required timeframes.

• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain and update patient billing information.

• Manage collections processes to recover outstanding balances efficiently.

• Collaborate with team members to address billing inquiries and discrepancies.

• Monitor claim statuses and process resubmissions as needed.

• Generate reports and analyze data using Microsoft Excel to track billing performance.

• Apply knowledge of billing functions and claims administration to improve workflow and accuracy.

• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, claims administration, or collections.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and online billing platforms.

• Strong understanding of insurance claim submission processes and denial management.

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance providers.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.

• Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and billing practices.
