Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role focuses on maintaining the integrity of financial records, streamlining processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of GAAP, and proficiency in tools like ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities:

General Ledger Management:

+ General ledger reconciliations

+ Identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly for seamless reporting.

Policies & Procedures Improvement:

+ Collaborate with teams to implement these improvements effectively.

Compliance Monitoring:

+ Stay informed about federal, state, and local financial regulations through continuous monitoring of legislative changes.

Financial Closing & Reconciliation Support:

+ Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accrual management

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

+ Prepare financial reports with variance analyses and commentary to provide management clear insights into business performance

Specialized Accounting Tasks:

+ Support inventory and cost accounting processes, as well as revenue recognition activities

+ Maintain and update financial records while tracking profit/loss, tax liabilities, and organizational assets.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred

+ 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in senior-level positions.

+ Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is

+ Solid understanding of GAAP, compliance reporting, and financial reporting processes.
