Description We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in supporting our employees and leadership team by ensuring compliance with HR policies, providing guidance on employment matters, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position offers an opportunity to engage in a variety of HR functions, from employee relations to benefits administration, while contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Provide high-level support to employees by addressing questions and concerns promptly and thoroughly.
• Maintain and update employee records, files, and databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Manage leave of absence programs, including Washington Paid Family Leave and workers' compensation, while ensuring seamless communication between managers and employees.
• Accurately process team member changes, new employee documentation, and garnishments in a timely manner.
• Handle unemployment claims by responding promptly and providing accurate information.
• Assist in the development and implementation of company HR policies and procedures.
• Conduct weekly orientation sessions to create a welcoming and engaging experience for new employees.
• Prepare and analyze HR reports to support departmental and organizational decision-making.
• Partner with leadership to communicate HR policies, programs, and legal compliance requirements.
• Attend offsite recruiting events as a company representative to attract and engage potential candidates. Requirements • Proven experience with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, ATS platforms, and Ceridian Dayforce.
• Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA and OSHA compliance.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with employees and leadership.
• Experience managing leave of absence programs and benefits administration.
• Ability to analyze and prepare detailed reports for HR and leadership purposes.
• Familiarity with unemployment claims, garnishment processing, and employee relations.
