Description
Technology product attorney needed for a permanent full-time inhouse counsel role in Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) to provide legal expertise and strategic guidance in the fintech and SaaS industries. This role involves overseeing global privacy and regulatory compliance, supporting product development with privacy-focused policies, and negotiating various agreements. Position is ideal for a highly skilled attorney with a strong background in technology product legal matters and data privacy.
• Lead all global privacy and product counsel matters, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop and roll out comprehensive global privacy policies, procedures, and data protection agreements (DPAs).
• Establish a customer-facing privacy and transparency center for the company’s public website.
• Provide training and templates to the commercial team to streamline customer and vendor DPA negotiations.
• Collaborate with product development teams to embed privacy-by-design principles into the product lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with global cookie regulations and related requirements.
• Draft and maintain terms of service for products and create product-specific exhibits for commercial contracts.
• Offer legal advice on financial regulatory policies and risk governance in partnership with the compliance team.
• Negotiate agreements with technical partners to support integrations and partnerships.
• Design and maintain policies for the partner marketplace portal to ensure alignment with legal standards.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in the fintech, SaaS, or financial services industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in data privacy, data protection, and global privacy regulations.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, financial technology, and digital finance.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial, licensing, and partnership agreements.
• Familiarity with IT governance, risk management, and compliance processes.
• Experience in advising on regulatory frameworks and interpreting legal risks.
• Skilled in creating contract templates and legal playbooks to enhance efficiency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
