    We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Tri-Valley area. This long-term contract possible contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic manufacturing environment, managing critical accounting functions and contributing to cost analysis and financial reporting.     Responsibilities:

    Oversee and manage the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements

    • Perform detailed cost analyses to support competitive pricing strategies and aid in decision-making.

    • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Lead month-end financial close processes, including generating reports and analyzing results.

    • Utilize and integrate accounting software systems such as QuickBooks Desktop and custom cost software to facilitate accurate data management

    • Conduct inventory asset tracking and auditing to maintain financial integrity. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational costs and optimize financial performance.

    • Apply advanced Excel skills to organize, analyze, and present financial data.

    • Assist in the implementation of ERP systems and streamline accounting workflows.

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced accounting staff, ensuring adherence to best practice

     

    Requirements • Proven experience in accounting management or supervisory roles, ideally within manufacturing or financial services.

     

    • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including QuickBooks Desktop and ERP platforms.

    • Strong knowledge of general ledger, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet processes.

    • Expertise in month-end financial close and reporting practices.

    • Advanced Excel capabilities for financial analysis and data management.

    • Familiarity with cost accounting and inventory tracking methodologies.

    • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not required.

    • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with occasional on-site presence after initial training.
