Description We are looking for a skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team on a contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth patient registration and financial clearance processes while delivering exceptional service in a healthcare setting. This position requires attention to detail, proficiency with healthcare systems, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Perform pre-registration and financial clearance tasks to prepare for patient services.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information with accuracy.
• Obtain necessary pre-certifications and authorizations as required by healthcare providers.
• Schedule patient appointments and input relevant details into the practice management system.
• Utilize software programs such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Dentrix Dental Software to manage patient records effectively.
• Handle inbound calls professionally, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and billing processes.
• Generate reports using tools like Crystal Reports to support operational needs.
• Create charts and graphs to represent data for analysis and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in healthcare software such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Dentrix Dental Software.
• Strong understanding of CRM systems and their application in patient service.
• Experience with financial clearance processes, including authorizations and benefit functions.
• Demonstrated ability to handle billing functions and maintain accurate records.
• Skilled in generating reports and creating visual representations using Crystal Reports.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in handling inbound calls.
