• Accounting Manager/Supervisor

    Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia. In this role, you will oversee general accounting operations, manage payroll and accounts payable, and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions. You will also be tasked with coordinating and reviewing analyses and preparations of schedules and reconciliations, as well as maintaining the fixed asset system and related subsidiary records.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the general accounting operations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions

    • Supervise and monitor payroll and accounts payable activities

    • Assist with year-end financial audits, tax preparations, and regulatory filings

    • Coordinate and review analyses and preparation of schedules and reconciliations of general ledger accounts and subsidiary records

    • Maintain the fixed asset system and related subsidiary records, ensuring proper transaction disclosure and assess existence through physical inventory performance

    • Support Incurred Cost Submissions, internal rates/pools, and reconciliation

    • Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal control policies and procedures

    • Drive process improvements around the efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of month-end close and reporting cycles

    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations (GAAP, CFR, CAS, tax, etc.)

    • Identify issues and make recommendations to management for resolution or mitigation. Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Accounting Manager/Supervisor.

    • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services required

    • Should possess extensive knowledge in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

    • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) management is required.

    • Hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management is essential.

    • Must be proficient in auditing, with a proven track record of successful audits.

    • Experience with ADP - Payroll is a crucial requirement for the position.
