Our manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure seamless compliance with financial standards. This position is located just south of Louisville and provides flexible scheduling options. The ideal candidate will lead a team to achieve operational excellence while supporting the company’s broader financial goals.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead the accounting team, managing day-to-day financial operations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

+ Oversee and maintain comprehensive technical accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.

+ Manage key accounting functions, including general ledger, fixed assets, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

+ Develop, implement, and communicate accounting policies and procedures to improve internal controls and systems.

+ Drive the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.

+ Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering growth and development.

+ Collaborate with leadership to deliver insights into financial performance and trends.

+ Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to compliance policies.

+ Manage relationships with external auditors and address audit requirements efficiently.

+ Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

+ Oversee the training, development, and growth of finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Requirements

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

+ Strong preference for candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing industry.

+ In-depth knowledge of GAAP principles and technical accounting practices.

+ Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

+ Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

+ Proven track record of managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
