Our client a dynamic consulting company operating in the back-office, retirement fund management space is looking for a detail-oriented Operations Analyst to join their dynamic team in the Horsham, Pennsylvania area. In this role, you will provide exceptional client service while contributing to the administration, compliance, and consulting of retirement plans. This position offers an opportunity for growth and skill development in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage compliance and administration tasks for various Defined Contribution Plans, including 401(k), profit sharing, and money purchase pension plans.
• Perform asset and trust reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Conduct compliance and nondiscrimination testing, such as coverage and top-heavy analysis.
• Reconcile employee census data and calculate contributions and allocations, including employer match and safe harbor contributions.
• Prepare detailed valuation and compliance reports for clients.
• Handle governmental filings, including Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, and 1099-R, ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Resolve compliance violations through appropriate corrections and submissions.
• Provide support for large plan audits and assist with plan conversions and special projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues, plan sponsors, recordkeepers, and other professionals to help clients achieve their retirement planning goals.
• Consult on plan design options and compliance matters to align with client needs.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business-related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in defined benefit or defined contribution plan analysis.
• Proficiency in managing Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Pension Plans.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in compliance and administration tasks.
• Familiarity with governmental filings, including Form 5500 and related documentation.
