    Merchandise Sales Associate (Part-Time, Temporary)

     

    Are you enthusiastic, customer-focused, and looking for a short-term role this summer? We are seeking a Merchandise Sales Associate to join our event team at Proctor’s Theatre in Schenectady, NY. As a Merchandise Sales Associate, you'll deliver top-tier service in a dynamic, high-energy environment during a special event running from June 24 to July 3. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain event experience while earning extra income. The Merchandise Sales Associate role includes paid orientation and flexible scheduling across weekdays and weekends.

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume retail setting.

    + Assist guests with merchandise selection and general inquiries.

    + Learn and perform retail duties, including sales transactions and restocking.

    + Maintain neat and visually appealing merchandise displays.

    + Comply with the dress code (black pants, black shoes; branded shirt provided).

    Requirements

    Requirements

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Positive, friendly attitude and professional demeanor.

    + Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

    + Available for 3–4 shifts per week, including at least one weekend matinee.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Mandatory attendance at paid orientation/training on Tuesday, June 24 (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM).

    + Wed., June 25 | 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

    + Thurs., June 26 | 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

    + Fri., June 27 | 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

    + Sat., June 28 | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

    + Sun., June 29 | 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM & 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM

    Week 2:

    + Mon., June 30 | DARK (no shift)

    + Tues., July 1 | 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

    + Wed., July 2 | 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

    + Thurs., July 3 | 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM
