Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Contract-to-permanent position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service. The role involves managing customer orders, addressing inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication with internal departments and manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the department's database system to process customer orders and respond to inquiries efficiently.
• Handle customer orders through system portals, including researching product details and ensuring accurate fulfillment.
• Process orders by preparing quotes, confirming purchase details, and tracking shipments to completion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and international manufacturing facilities to optimize customer service.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues using critical thinking and ensure customers receive prompt and effective solutions.
• Work collaboratively with team members to enhance workflows and address customer concerns.
• Provide regular updates to customers regarding outstanding requests or developments.
• Address logistical challenges such as quality claims and missing shipments in coordination with the Warehouse Manager.
• Escalate unresolved issues to supervisors when necessary to ensure proper resolution.
• Use Excel for reporting and data analysis to support departmental operations. Requirements • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or manufacturing industry.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data management and reporting tasks.
• Skilled in handling inbound and outbound calls with professionalism.
• Familiarity with order entry systems and spare parts management.
• Experience with Oracle or similar database systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage email correspondence effectively and maintain attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve logistical challenges.
