    Description

    Are you ready to take charge and lead an accounting team? Robert Half is seeking a dedicated Accounting Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of an organization's accounting department. This exciting role is perfect for a hands-on leader looking to inspire operational efficiency, build team collaboration, and support strategic financial goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Supervise and mentor accounting staff in areas such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.

    + Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations.

    + Review and approve financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

    + Monitor and analyze accounting workflows, proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems.

    + Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses in collaboration with the finance team.

    + Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and assist in preparing audit schedules.

    + Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations, maintaining accurate records for internal and external reporting.

    + Provide guidance to team members on accounting best practices and technical issues.

    Requirements

    + 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

    + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

    + Proven ability to lead, guide, and motivate a team while fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.

    + Strong attention to detail with accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.

    + Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data to support business decision-making processes.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
