    Description

Our client, a growing company in the healthcare, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity on their finance team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Process and match invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests in compliance with company policies.

    + Verify invoice details and appropriate approvals before recording transactions into accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Oracle, or SAP).

    + Manage vendor relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.

    + Ensure timely payments to vendors and maintain an organized accounts payable ledger.

    + Monitor and reconcile sub-ledger accounts and assist in month-end closing activities.

    + Generate and analyze aging reports, addressing any overdue accounts quickly.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements within accounts payable workflows.

    + Support audits by providing required documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    + Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred, but not required).

    + Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar finance role (2+ years preferred).

    + Proficiency in at least one major accounting software such as Sage, Oracle, or SAP.

    + Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.

    + Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with financial operations

    + Experience optimizing accounts payable processes and using advanced software features.
