Description

We are looking for a dedicated and success-driven Program Leader to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. This contract position involves working directly with youth, overseeing program activities, and collaborating with team members to ensure a positive and enriching experience for participants. Responsibilities:

• Supervise a group of scholars (grades 3-6) and Counselors in Training (grades 10-12) while providing additional support to all program participants.

• Plan and implement engaging, balanced activities in alignment with program goals.

• Utilize positive behavior management techniques to maintain a supportive and respectful environment.

• Collaborate regularly with the Site Coordinator and team to ensure smooth program operations.

• Assist in collecting and organizing data, completing surveys, and maintaining accurate records for staff and students.

• Prepare classroom spaces and materials for daily activities, ensuring a clean and organized environment.

• Foster positive relationships with scholars, families, program staff, and community partners.

• Administer pre- and post-program evaluations to assess participant progress.

• Represent the program and its mission positively to stakeholders and the community.

• Perform additional on-site or administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements • Proven experience working with children in educational, camp, or youth program settings.

• Strong project management skills, including planning and organizing activities.

• Familiarity with teaching methods and positive behavior management strategies.

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with team members.

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for participants.

• Strong communication skills to engage with scholars, families, and community partners.

• Attention to detail in maintaining records and preparing materials.
