Description We are looking for a dedicated Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team in Walnut Creek, California. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to supporting the success of litigation efforts. As part of a national defense law firm, you will play a key role in case preparation and management.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the acquisition and review of medical, employment, and educational records through subpoenas, nonparty requests, and Open Records Act inquiries.

• Create detailed medical chronologies to assist in case evaluation and strategy development.

• Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to case deadlines.

• Safeguard sensitive legal documents and uphold confidentiality standards.

• Organize case files, conduct document reviews, and manage databases to support litigation activities.

• Utilize legal research tools and document management software effectively to enhance case preparation and workflow. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a defense-oriented legal setting.

• Strong understanding of subpoena procedures, nonparty requests, and Open Records Act compliance.

• Proven ability to create accurate and comprehensive medical chronologies with strong analytical skills.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail when managing complex case files.

• Knowledge of compliance, risk management, and contract practices is advantageous.

• Proficiency in legal technology tools, including case management software, Adobe Acrobat, and AI-based research applications.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

• Familiarity with trial preparation, briefing, and calendar management in a litigation setting.
