We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Construction Contract Change Manager who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running not just on time but within budget. Based in our Bellevue, WA office, you’ll be responsible for leading, coordinating and the overall management of the change management team on multimillion dollar transportation construction projects. This is an on-site role that will provide the opportunity to directly communicate with the Construction Management team, the Construction Contractor, the project Owner and local agencies.
Typical Responsibilities:
* Be proficient in the contract change process and enable knowledge sharing with wider project management team.
* Review contract language to identify scope changes and determine merit for contractor requested changes.
* Develop multiple change orders and meet expected dates of completion and engage with stakeholders on a regular basis regarding potential contract changes and risk items.
* Assist with change order cost estimates and ensure estimates are accurate.
* Assist with Time Impact Analysis for changes where applicable.
* Providing timely analysis of changes and claims and recommending appropriate negotiating strategies.
* Working with Construction Management Team to identify potential changes and scope impacts.
* Develop change and claim avoidance and prevention strategies.
* Provide high level change summary and assist client in negotiations with the Contractor.
* Attend regular executive change meeting to present potential change orders and analysis to senior leadership.
* ·Coordinating with Delivery Team on status updates.
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
* 5+ years experience in construction change management
* In-person role (not remote or hybrid)
* Must be proficient in the use of computers to prepare reports using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Unifier experience is also preferred.
* Ability to walk construction site, including walking up and down slopes, climbing ladders, and walking on scaffolding and other temporary structures.
