LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN/LVN)

Responsibilities:

+ Provide compassionate, quality care to employees.

+ Provide direct first aid care to employees at the site according to the medical directives within the scope of practice and State and National regulations.

+ Adhere to health management policies, protocol, medical directives, and physician standing orders according to the scope of the practice.

+ Adhere to state and federal regulations including OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, etc.

+ Adhere to HIPPA compliance of confidentiality of employee’s personal medical information

+ Establish and maintain good working relationships with departmental staff, complex management, supervisory staff, and local health care providers.

+ Must be able to carry, liftm and maneuver first aid response bag (weighing between 25-30 lbs), back board, stretcher, AED, wheel chair, and any other medical necessities when responding to an incident.

+ Maintain accurate documentation and assist in departmental medical record upkeep

+ Provide appropriate documentation of all care provided in a professional and effective manner.

+ Perform Drug and Alcohol screening for Powered Industrial Truck operators, as requested.

+ Conduct annual hearing testing for facility employees.

+ Assist in conducting daily restrictive duty checks.

+ Must maintain a clean and orderly work area.

+ Notify Occupational Health Manager and designee of any pertinent physical and emotional changes of symptoms presented.

+ Must be flexible with work schedule.

+ Assist in the training of new employees, production, and maintenance at all levels in compliance programs.

+ Help to perform job duties within the Safety and Occupational Health department as needed.

+ Assist in projects as needed within the department.

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ High School Degree / GED equivalency required

+ Associates Degree of Nursing or Diploma Nursing Degree Required

+ Must be able to read and write in English

+ Bilingual preferred, but not required

+ Basic computer skills

+ Minimum of 1 year of experience

+ Current LVN/LPN license in the state of application

+ Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
